Ralf F. Bode

Graduate degree (Dipl.Ing.) in engineering, architecture and real estate economics; born in 1963. As CEO of atmosgrad°, Ralf F. Bode is invested in the continuing development and growth of the company and is involved with all project management, consulting and certification work. After completing his studies in architecture in Aachen, Paris, and Albuquerque, U.S.A., he worked as a freelance architect before getting involved with various companies in project- and building management on construction sites. Until 2009, he worked in the areas of project management and development for the open-end real estate funds of Union Investment Real Estate before going on to found atmosgrad°, at that time one of the first companies to focus on issues of Green Building and sustainability consulting in the field of real estate. He is a DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) auditor, member of the DGNB real estate advisory board and involved in various task groups regarding system development.

Ralf W. Jacobs

Graduate degree in economics, real estate economics; born in 1961. Ralf W. Jacobs possesses many years of experience in the real estate sector with a focus on development, sales and consulting. After completing his sutides in economics, economic geography and cultural management, Jacobs worked in Hamburg as a speaker for Dr. Klaus von Dohnanyie, which provided deep insights into the convergence of economics and politics. He subsequently spent time involved on both national and international levels with issues of sustainability and real estate economics, and was CEO of an interregional placement and consulting firm before joining the atmosgrad° team. At atmosgrad°, Jacobs' focus is on the financial valuation of sustainable real estate properties. He provides a valuaable contribution to the company's consulting services and drives the continuing advancement of the firm with his experienced overseeing of the transaction processes.

Sabine Bode

Graduate degree in engineering and architecture; born in 1962. Sabine Bode is a freelance member of the atmosgrad° team. After completing her studies in architecture in Aachen, she spent time working in Cologne, heading up various architectural projects, before becoming an academic staff member at the Hannover University. During this time, she also worked on a freelance basis for numerous projects in the area of office- and residential space construction and was involved in all stages, from architecture competitions and preliminary drafting of plans through to implementation. During the EXPO2000, she held the position of acting general commissioner for the ZERI (Zero Emission Research Initiative) pavilion. Since 2008, she has been working in project and building management on construction sites for a variety of freelance clients. With atmosgrad° she is most often involved in contractual issues and project management with regards to building construction.

Jan Knauß

Graduate degree in civil engineering; born in 1980.
Jan Knauß spent two years as a manager at a mid-sized company, working in the area of turn-key residential building construction, before getting on board with atmosgrad° in 2010 as a freelance engineer. It was during his studies that he first became involved in the issue of sustainability, specifically in regards to “passive houses,” or zero-energy buildings. After completing his degree in Hamburg with a focus on building management, his career saw him becoming involved with overseeing construction workflow, deepening his knowledge on zero-energy building construction. As a manager with atmosgrad°, he advises and guides clients working towards the German Sustainable Building Certificate, and is also involved in the area of project leadership.

Frauke Pittwohn

Graduate degree in civil engineering; born in 1981. 
It was during her studies that Frauke Pittwohn first became engaged with the issue of sustainable building and its certification systems. She has been a project manager with atmosgrad° since the beginning of 2009, addressing the issue of sustainability certification for a variety of building uses, according to the requirements of the German Sustainable Building Certificate. During the certification process for various projects, she functions as advisor and guide during the planning and implementation phases and develops tools for the application of new systems and the implementation of specifications. Pittwohn is also responsible for project leadership in the area of tenant build-out. She completed her training in April 2011 to DGNB consultant.

Fabian Karcher

Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering; born in 1986. During his studies, Fabian Karcher was already working with a leading international construction services provider, during which time he became involved with the issue of sustainable development. His bachelor thesis closely examined the auditing process for the German Sustainable Building Certificate. Since concluding his degree in April 2011, he has been a freelance engineer on the atmosgrad° team, working as a project manager to see a variety of development projects through the steps of certification and comparing the various sustainability standards of the German Sustainable Council (DGNB), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM). He also lends his skills and abilities to the areas of marketing and IT.
